Do you want to take a good part of your lifetime to biuld equity in expensive townhouses that can appreciate, or do you want a portfolio or monster cashflowing rentals with no appreciation but you can retire off the cash flow.Different strokes for different folkes.

I second the sentiments above and would add this:  if it has been operated as a rental for a long time and has not undergone an open-market sale or a substantial renovation during the previous decade(s) then you'll almost certainly be looking at some monster CapEx and repairs in the next decade.

Suburban B class is also rising with the steadily improving jobs picture. i invest heavily in North Riverdale and Southern Shiloh (45405) and count a computer scientist, robotics technician, and resteraunt manager as tenants.
