Cash flow properties may be harder to find in Howard County (although certainly not impossible), but just crossing over into SW or Western Baltimore County you should find good opportunities for investing and still make your commute to NG doable until you are financially free.

It's a free of charge consultation and the Attorney has said that he charges a lat rate for his services. 1) I need to know if it's best to set up as an LLC or keep my investments under my name (in your opinion)? 

In that case I think your only real option is to follow the advice of Rich Ng and be quick with the pay or quit notice.
