Am I the only who is mad that one can not sell his own house without a middle-man? A

However, an easy opportunity has arisen for me that I need some advice on.I live I a condo complex near Denver CO.

Last week I had a duplex in Iowa destroyed by fire. 

So, a million bucks.This is Real Estate forum so I'm guessing you are looking for RE options.If this million was for pure investment then I'd:Look in the smaller markets from Western PA through Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, etc. 

However I was still able to get 3 months of P+I as government rebate.

Does anyone if it is possible for us to get a owner occupied loan where in my girlfriend will be the resident of the home, and I as Canadian can also be on the mortgage application as well.

Looking for experience with these guys or other suggestions to look into.Quick Bio:I live in Iowa and currently have an LLC with rental properties, farm, sell insurance, and have a w-2 job so I just feel as if I'm in need of some good tax planning but also a CPA that has had experience with farmers.  

These are usually small things, like a slow leaky toilet, some loose handles in the kitchen, maybe the shower diverter isn't working well (we have very hard water here so its common).While this is rather/sort of embarrassing, I THINK bBy getting them fixed quickly it actually shows that I a landlord that intends to maintain my properties and provide at least a decent place for my tenants to live.To save a bit of money, I change out the locksets on the door myself. 

Am I a ****ing tenant???
