It's nasty, hot/cold work in confined spaces, heights, noise, chemical pollution, etc. 

Marina's are tough to run as regulators are constantly after them about pollution and codes.

People "think" that this is just like Europe, where Public Transportation is provided all over the place and you have bike lanes and electric trains that don't pollute and everyone is polite and quiet and happy...What "they" don't see is that you can fit 30 European Countries inside the United States.

There is no solution to that problem in sight and, because it's apparently caused by a combination of global warming and increased pollution, it's probably going to get worse.
