Well, that would be because the taxing authority in MA is the town, not the county, so NO, the county doesn't sell tax liens, the towns do.

For instance in Vegas (My other market....I am a Broker in Vegas and MA) I can get 5% CAP rates all day and if I have a nonpaying tenant I can get them out in 30 days opposed to 6 months like in MA.

Lots of families move to these areas because they can not afford the Boston area and what you get for your money there (Just sold our house last year in Burlington, MA) is 2X plus the house in NH.I am starting out buying single family houses and flipping them to get started.
