This was a 3000 square foot house with four large bedrooms and three full bathrooms a d it was full of stuff. she left a ton of trash, but her actual possessions were all high-quality items.I hired three helpers, came up with an hourly rate, and we packed up every last bit of her stuff and placed it in storage.

I keep my relationships pretty open with the helpers. 

And he has a helper so work gets done faster (when they work together I pay the helper $25 an hour).The second handyman charges more but I hire him when the main handyman is busy. 

Your alternative is to learn the work of fixing decrepit 100-year-old properties yourself, and even then you'll find difficulty hiring reliable helpers to help you with larger jobs.BTW, this is not an advertisement.

During that time I found 6 beautiful Pool Homes to buy for under $200,000 that I could fix up in a month with my Helper and make up to $50,000 or just live in one.

Electrical ended up being around $16,500 for 2 reasons: 1) After getting 4 bids, the best quote was around $14k, so my budgetary estimate was just low to begin with; and 2) while my first electrician did ok, I did ultimately replace him toward the end of the project as I wasn’t happy with his attention to detail, pride of workmanship, and overall way his helper treated my other contractors.

On some occasions he needs a helper as when he changes hot water tanks.
