Anytime we buy a house that has been sitting without a/c in our market, we clean and treat everything with Microban....just to be on the safe side prior to repainting.

In my opinion, repaints like that (sprayed or brushed) are for class C (and some B's) and below.It is sprayed by tradesmen who specialize in re-painting kitchen cabinets.If you use something like Sherwin Williams Super Paint (or even Emerald) Satin, or Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec Satin, it might no last as long as the pro-painter applied paints which have some kind of hardener in them.That being said, some tradesmen can do really nice work (with a lot more labor hours charged than on a standard rental unit respray): https://www.youtube.com/watch?

This kitchen was truly lipstick on the pig, with granite tile top, porcelain backsplash, repainting cabs and, later during a turnover, sticking an 18" DW on the end of the run with a piece of butcher block on top.

Basically only damaged the trim so we replaced some and properly cleaned the rest, repainted and were back up in about 3 days total.

If it goes sideways, one month is usually enough maybe to repaint, but if they damage the flooring or don't pay, you'll be happy you have more.
