I'm a buy/hold investor and rehabber, and I just "hand shook" on a deal to restore my brother's property and help him rebuild his retirement income/legacy to his children.

Today I spent a few hours removing nails from hardwood flooring that we will be restoring in the living room and hallway of our investment property.  

Are there buildings, trees, landscaping that will be destroyed and cannot be restored to original condition by the City? 

I plan on either paying cash for the rest or conventional financing.

However the main point is that by advocating for the block that your rentals sit on, you will create a sense of leadership that restores the buoyancy in nearby property values.

There are at least 2 hedge fund companies that have been buying up rentals in salt lake and davis county for the past 2 years (restore utah, llc and american homes 4 rent) which has driven the price up a bit.

Sooo...for me, I would have loved to have a husband be as passionate about real estate as I am, but I have to respect our differences, let him restore his old cars and be happy that *I* am able to finally put my own, foot into real estate.I'm jealous that you two are a team and think it's great, but certainly understand not every spouse will jump in.
