It appears we are in another boom of sorts now so if you made a lot of money through natural appreciation it may be a good time to trade up or at least leverage/refi to to keep growing your business.  

If they don't then just move on because they are lowlife scammers or just Contractors that don't know how to run a business...neither of which you want to do business with.Take as long as you need to to find the right GC, because with the right guy you will smile all the way through the project, and with the wrong guy, you will end up in court, miserable and broke.....

And in today's market, I have to look at more than I used to, to find one that is worth touring.Once owned, I spent probably another 10ish finding a contractor.

I would be prepared for them asking for a lot of money or saying get out, but it is always worth a shot getting in prior to to submit an offer!
