One of the large sites actually tried to sell a property we purchased at a foreclosure auction because the bank sent it to them in a tape by accident.

Their situation is sad as the husband is recently paralyzed due to an accident (which is why short sale was allowed) and is under local treatment.

They would probably pay the liability the first time but not a second time should an accident occur. 

I have 6 total rental units:* 1 SFR in Pasadena, CA* 1 SFR in Barstow, CA* 2 SFR's in Mansfield, TX* 1 Duplex in South Gate, CA I'm interested in growing my portfolio by leveraging some of the equity from these properties....I basically own these properties almost by accident and just being "lucky"... so while I own 6 units of investment income, I don't feel I know very much and could be doing more to grow more quickly.

So far, there's been this current health issue with his wife, before that he was away at a funeral, before that he was delayed because the handyman's wife had cancer, before that his wife had a car accident, before that it was just "sorry for the delay" with no explanation...
