They chopped and burned several cords of wood in the wood stove instead.  

Remove the second kitchen (at least the stove) and make the basement feel like a nice finished basement. 

They also broke the washer, dryer and I have no idea what they did to the stove, but it needed to be thrown out, and it was fairly new and a nice flat top model.

The least expensive way to help remedy that (other than moving the stove to the island) would be to reverse the placement of the stove and dishwasher (also giving you direct outdoor venting for your fan).

The island is fine- you've got the classic "work triangle" between the sink, stove, fridge.

We have strict rules in our lease including, no smoking, no candles, no grease fryers and no open grease frying on the stove top.

We can replace an entire stove for $200 with a used one.  

So, photcopy the heating system manual, the washer manual, the dryer manual, the dishwasher manual, the stove manual, etc (you get the idea).

You’ll be able to get financing (haven’t had an issue yet; I once had to remove a stove and the appraiser returned to verify, and then I put it back in its place), you’ll be able to get insurance, you’ll be able to find tenants.
