One thing about a lot of the houses in this particular area is that because they're all older homes (1900-1940 mostly) just about every one needs "something" done to it to make it a nice, modern, functional house, while ours truly needs nothing, its been totally updated, no compromises here.

I cut costs wherever I can without compromising the integrity of the house.  

After I consolidated them, I contact the program administrators and requested a payoff compromise.

The RTO can clear the lease with an offer in compromise with a court order if necessary and sell the assets to a new bank.

It seems actually to be a good compromise for us - I get in on my first real estate property and she gets a safe place for her dad that is subsidized by renting out the other unit.  

It takes time and hard work to find and build that team and compromises usually are must.

One of the cons is that you have to compromise and can't do everything you want.

A lot of the homes going up are good quality, but like in any boom, there's some people just looking to make a quick buck and they are compromising on aesthetic and material quality.
