"saving" for retirement (not actually possible, but that's a post/thread unto itself), building their social circles in the work-place, building teams and relationships, producing noteworthy results, starting early, staying late, ...

They feel like it looks a workplace and not homely at all.

Also, if that is the case, I'd love to know how I can better my search to find what I am looking for in the future.I currently live pretty close to my workplace and plan on staying at my job for as far into the future as I can tell.
