Here's a list of stuff that went wrong because lack of experience costs time/money when you do a DIY project:Car broke down because I used it as a truckHad to get a GC registration with the state of Rhode Island or face violations from the building inspector (5 hour course, pay for insurance, and taxes, around $2000) because here you can't pull permits yourself for anything and you need permits for everything other than painting or putting up shelves

Don't buy cheap crap - the shelves are super flimsy and you have to deal with that on top of ice maker and general repairs.

Good examples include, a fridge with broken door shelves (sometimes just worth replacing fridge), harvest gold,  dated dishwashers!

I work in engineering and I'm seeing several developer clients dusting off projects they shelved in 2007-2009 and trying to get them going again, will new inventory drop the bottom out of prices or spur further purchases of nice clean new homes in desirable areas.So until some of this volatility has a chance to stabilize, it is going to be very difficult to see where the market is trending.

One asked me which and how many fridge shelves they could use, if they could hang a wall hanging in their room, and other basic stuff.
