@Michael Hahn - Many times the term I have heard thrown around for these properties is being functionality obsolete.....meaning the layout is not set up to function like a typical house and thus becomes either very expensive to fix or obsolete.Where are you looking for properties?

So you’re not wrong that the payback period for renewables is long, but the fuel source is free and unlimited, whereas other forms of energy also have long payback periods (a coal power plant is 30 years even with millions in government support, nuclear plants are 40 years even with billions in government support), and it’s looking like energy production from those sources will be obsolete in the next 30 years, so that’s why we’re not building more of those types of plants.

It almost feels like using the MLS in Salt Lake is an obsolete tool in this current market, and it feels like I've called every 4-20 door apartment complex in SLC limits with no luck.

Cosmetic updates including full kitchen gut and updates, consolidate obsolete extra closet and undersized master bath into large master bath, finished empty basement into extra living room, etc.
