We are named on their policy so that we get notified if they lapse in renewing.

The reason im keeping the life insurance policy is im locked in at their best rate for life until my policy lapses, and then the roth i started basically because I felt i needed to start SOMEWHERE as far as saving for retirement.

Are there companies that will insure you even if you have had a policy lapse? 

he misses meetings >80% of the time and so much time lapses between one phone meeting and the next that we spend most of the time rehashing prior conversations.  

We have considerable working income for our age (170k a yr combined so far) so we figure in 5 years we should be able to complete this 3 times over while still being able to cover expenses god forbid there is a lapse in rent.  

My questions are:1) what if they let the insurance lapse?
