A flight on Southwest is like $350 if you don't wait last minute, sometimes lower. 

DC to Boston has flights every hour out of 3 different airports for pretty cheap, so I was able to get there fairly easily, but I didnt have to go there unexpectedly about twice a year to deal with crap.

Ok, so for this to work I can't spend $180k and go to a top flight school and spend the next 5 years giving my business up for a high rank or even high grades.

It’s usually this scenario: they have an early flight in (mine are in Hawaii), then take the latest flight out, sometimes as late as 11pm.  

We also already have tenants so arent rushing anyone in to avoid vacancy.My, admittedly, ignorant question is, can i purchase her condo, which is in her (maiden) name, myself?  

I went with a flat fee of 30k each.. and I then spent 50k on a big presentation in San Francisco.. included a room for 300 .. drinks etc. radio adds my flight down ( well I flew my own plane LOL  but my team had to fly down.. ) we sold those all of them in that one weekend.. so this lowly dumb @@@S realtor ( me) made 660k in one weekend minus 50k in expenses so like I said you can go both ways with commish.. and those builder were estatic their bank was putting pressure on them and they knew exactly what I was making since we had a listing agreement and I got paid on the hud like any other bozo realtor.

Also, it is only an 1.5 hour flight/10 hour drive from home so somewhat in my backyard- that made a big difference for me. 

I'm trying to get a better read and feel for the event before spending $1,500+ on the ticket, hotel, flight, etc.

I listened to about 10 hours of the podcast on my flights across the country and like many of you I'm excited by all of the content. 

That so that last $20k can serve as a cash reserve - for unexpected CAPEX items (although, speaking for turnkey, this shouldn't come up for the first several years), for flights out to vet partners, whatever.
