They get a company that simply does not have the foresight or the ability to provide customer service.  

You may also need to have some foresight here as these can change, maybe check with local hosts and see if they are concerned with any upcoming city votes etc.The answer for me is very often yes to STR over LTR but that is different for everybody. 

I have relatives in Redondo Beach and wish my family had the foresight to buy properties there when the going was good.

The market does not swing drastically, but I have been unable to find enough cash flow in multi-family (since 2018 without the foresight of the 2020 rent growth and without being an owner-occupant performing much of the work).  

Thankfully, our elected representatives had the foresight at the time to recognize that an educated public would do more for our society in the future than some private market Benjamen's in the pocket would right now (right now as in back then).

However, by 2020, even during Covid, we achieved 96% occupancy - an incredible feat owing to our foresight in identifying a growing market.Another office building is currently 85% occupied, generating significant positive cash flow, while the third one is undergoing extensive rehabilitation.It's not accurate to claim that the office and commercial sectors are doomed, with no interest in leasing or purchasing.
