In 1969 you could buy a home in Cupertino for 40 to 50k.... then they hit 100k in the late 70's and everyone said Holly molly they can never go higher.. then they hit half a million in the late 80's  then about 99 ish they were pushing a million  then by mid 2000 pre GFC they hist 1.2 to 1.5  then they settle back in 08 to 2010 maybe 10%  now they are 1.5 and up ... and that is pretty much any real estate from parts of Marin country down through SF and to Los Gatos...
