Afternoon people!!

Introducing myself through this medium is not as easy as I thought. But as it has been recommended, just start writing and eventually the content will came out. I am excited and anxious to start this new phase in my life. Becoming a real estate investor has its up and downs, it's risks and rewards, and of course the potential of living a life where I have the opportunity of owning my time and energy; by this I mean, eventually I will not be working a 9 to 5 job where I am constantly following repetitive task day in and out, and where I do not have the freedom to express my self and creativity.

I have been attending college for about four years; I obtained my Associate in Science, I conducted behavioral research as an intern for one year, I became Vice President of Leadership in Phi Theta Kappa local chapter, and I was active in school activities. During this period of my life, I have grown to love to learn, to explore, and to read. I am always looking for more information and ways to apply this knowledge; this is how I came across BiggerPockets Popcast. I have been listening to BiggerPockets podcast for about two months; Joshua & Brandon and the guess have been more than inspiring to me.

The seed of real estate investing was planted by Mr. Robert Kiyosaki four years ago; His book Rich Dad Poor Dad made an emotional impact on me. Back then, I was transitioning from the Marine Corps into the civilian life and planning on attending college. This is why, I did not gave much thought into becoming an investor, but now things are different. I am a different person,I have other priorities, and I have found a gold mine--BiggerPockets.

Thank you,

Giovanny M.

Congrats on the first post! Welcome Giovanny. Lots of great threads on BP on buy and holds, flips, and more strategies... I am always amazed at how much free info is under the Education tool bar (above) for newbies or anyone for that matter. Thanks for your service... (maybe also look at some of the great info on specific topics like the VA loans and how savvy investors have leveraged these in buying 2-4 unit properties)... Best of luck
