IMHO, if you want to help a vet, donate to the appropriate charity. 

Here's the example:1) Investor cuts a check for $100,000 to DEEDfeed, our nonprofit.2) DEEDfeed cuts a check for $100,000 to fyre CAPITAL, our investment group.3) Investor distributions and original principal of 100,000 are returned to DEEDfeed, and in turn to the Investor.4) 100% of Investment Management Fees collected by fyre Capital are sent back to DEEDfeed.5) Those Fees are now the donation to the nonprofit - And thus mandated to be spent in line with DEEDfeed's Mission and 501c3 rules.The Investor wins by earning distributions. 

If you want tax benefits, donate to your favorite charity - not the bank.  

(Yes those guys that call you for the donations that get you a decal from the cops that allow you to run every GREEN light in town)The second was night security/janitor for the Carpenters Home Church.

I have supported Real Estate related Veteran Organizations such as Building Homes For Heroes and The Veterans Homestead Project by helping locate  properties, donating materials and volunteering my time.  

The event was for charity (Brashear Association Toy Drive) so we did not want to turn willing donations away but we had no choice when the chairs were gone.

Also does anyone know that if I set it up as an LLC and donate 90% of the company's net profits that I can avoid getting taxed on the entire 90%?

Have it be a surprise or a small gift basket full of bulk purchased items you can break up into many baskets or donated coupons from local vendors.  

I heard that you can donate a house to a local fire department for a training.

Requiring a donation to charity is awesome.
