But we both have to struggle with reality hehe  You would either need to go somewhere else, or decide which is more important to you (or at least compromise). 

I thought this might be a good compromise because we both like it, and maybe we can fix it up and refinance some equity into another house and still make it an "investment." 

But, it allows you to focus more on maximizing the overall profit of the deal and reduces the pressure of holding costs and the compromises that might force you to make.If you're calculating points and interest, that's a lot more decisions to make and numbers to track.

So now, we are working with a Plan A (to get a Variation approved) and Plan B (to get a compromise of 8' each side, which would require 10 neighbors approving of it.

Now I dont know if the boards review will be comprehensive or name sake , But it is definitely worth it .If I were , I would not try to deal with this first agent as a compromise , especially as you dont have a positive feeling , there is a very good chance he could screw you in other ways .

It is easy to be on the wrong side of the gray line in this business and you will start compromising all sorts of things later on if you do this now.

My wife thinks that people are fine just staying in hotels, but I am convinced that hotels are almost always a compromise - especially for families.....

So I am thinking if the HOA really pushes me to get rid of the tenants I would ask for a compromise like letting my current tenants have time to find a new place and move out, let's say 3 months.
