It's possible you mis-interpreted what your agent meant when they said you could renegotiate after inspection (usually that means for major issues like dangerous electrical panels, structural issues, partially collapsed cast iron sewer line, etc. that weren't obvious at the initial showings, not superficial things like "the AC is rusty" or "we should replace those ugly fans").

Even if the properties are titled to separate LLCs, they all collapse onto your personal return from the IRS's perspective so it is all one rental property business.That's my understanding; but I am NOT a CPA and not giving tax advice (just to be clear) ;-) I'd be happy to recommend my CPA for a deeper conversation!

Also, if you wait, you can find some decent deals in down markets next time things collapse, one of our Rittenhouse condos we picked up in 2013 has appreciated 40% since then, so no complaints there.
