I wanted to do it myself and ensure it wasn't a full finish to avoid paying property taxes on additional livable square footage.

so everything is done: electrical, plumbing, A/C, basement finished, etc.  

We also finished the basement by adding a 4th bedroom, and a half bath since there was already an existing waste line.

If you have the funds to finish the rehab, keep the 1st happy until you can sell, that’s probably your best option.

I am trying my hand at this while I work toward the finish line on my second retirement.

Right now I am just saving up as much as I can while finishing College.

I did have to pay an extension fee due to their closing date and the municipal search in that city, and the fact after we went under contract they allowed the basement to flood (finished space) and never told me until I found out myself the day prior to closing.

We are starting to partner with other investors on projects, so the topic of finish comes to the table from time to time. 

I’m currently working a day job to pay off the rest of my debt (which I’m close to finishing).
