the value of these things are depreciated separately from the house and separately from property improvements such as a privacy fence or a barn.

At least here in CA, any lender giving a loan secured by RE and any borrower receiving said loan on said RE becomes a matter of public record via the deed of trust recording, therefore, I see no expectation of privacy as far as names go.
