On the first occasion that the same problem occurred, he was still getting SOME promotional emails from BP, but none relating to his followed threads, which leads him to believe that the problem is:- the "Re-verification" email that needs to be received is originating from the SAME email source that has been blocked in the first place (which could be a specific email server process that created the glitch).
