I use the Schlage electronic door locks and I instantly deleted all existing codes, even the current landlord code.  

I don't know if I'm allowed to post this type stuff so feel free to delete it.

You could have an automated email service saying your temporary code will be xxxx for xx/xx/14 to xx/xx/14 once the code is deleted it reverts back to default preprogramed codes (factory set).Do you currently plan to have the unit listed on vacation rental websites or how did you plan to market it as a vacation rental?

This allows you to add/delete door codes remotely and track people coming and going as it logs every time the door is locked/unlocked and by whom.Smart Thermostat.
