Any plating of metals or cleaning materials tend to corrode plumbing drains and leak into soil.

So far I can report the following:- humidity is so high comparing to Cali (took few days to get used to sweat) but really nice and warm even at night,- lots of insects and mosquitos (took few days to realize I had been bitten) - both climate and wildlife are so different here,- I really loved Alabama - Mobile with its historical houses and little downtown & Gulf Shores/Orange Beach with its long white sandy beach, local restaurants and bars.

If you're interested in "Class A" neighborhoods, as in the most upscale places to live, in Atlanta those would be:Buckhead, Brookhaven, Sandy Springs, Dunwoody, Alpharetta, Inman Park, Virginia Highlands, parts of Decatur and parts of Midtown.

Grading the soil & concrete around the home is def one of the most economic & effective ways to Direct water away from the home. 

You are correct in noting that Cape Coral currently lacks access to sandy beaches since the Yacht Club is closed for rehabilitation.
