I thought they were saving money by cheaping out on the parts - plastic toilet seat bolts, plastic fill valve threads, etc - but I had a high-end toilet installed maybe a year and a half ago for a tenant by my plumber and when I went to check out the toilet, it had the same plastic fill valve threads and plastic toilet seat bolts.

Early on we never supplied washers & dryers, now we supply them because a)we make some money on them, b)tenants are idiots when it comes to hooking them up, c)tenants use cheap materials such as plastic hoses that leak and break, d)tenants dent walls, scrape baseboards, scratch floors, and generally destroy everything in their path removing or bringing in appliances.I've noticed over the years that tenants also expect more of a turn-key setup than in the past.

All they needed was 1 gallon of paint and some new metal posts for the adjustable shelves in the kitchen cabinets as a couple of the plastic ones had broken with her heavy mixing bowls.And a small area where a previous handyman (maybe them) had done an ugly job on a plaster repair.It is a grand slam home run most of mine are only triples

I have seen the hacked power many times and hacked water ... never seen hacked gas though.. it amazes me that these people will touch those power lines with rubber gloves and rubber pliers.. wonder how man fry themselves... really something how so many get through life just stealing anything and everything and living off of the tax payers..
