@Anil Samuel If it is a lease renewal and you are just working on the mechanics of signing the lease, you might consider using an electronic signature service like  Adobe EchoSign.

It is still recommended, even though in some cases it is not required.And an important exception: no need for 1099s if you paid your contractors via electronic means like credit cards or PayPal.There're more rules related to 1099s, which is why it's best to ask your own CPA about your own situation.

I am reluctant to go electronic with rent collections because......If I am evicting somebody - serve them the three-day, file an eviction, and then they pay me ten bucks through the service and spoil the eviction....?

Another warning: Zelle payments are not considered electronic payments and they DO require 1099s
