Michael Babb Rental Property Dilemma

I currently own a few rental properties in the Colorado Springs, CO area, but have one in particular that I could use some advice on and how I should move forward.The short story is, I purchased this home in 2006 when everyone was purchasing homes right before the market collapse and got one of "them fancy interest only loans" :)  This is my one regret with regard to real estate investing and all other homes have a fixed interest rate that can be planned around.

But in a nutshell, you (ideally) do not close on the home - you resell it before you close the contract and do a collapsed or simultaneous close.

Hi Hendrick,Before deciding on a series LLC, you might want to discuss with a California lawyer if there is a possibility that a California judge could rule or deem your series LLC as one big LLC (collapse it), thereby exposing all of the sub LLC's assets to judgement.Good Luck!

With the stock market or things like REITS I just stick my money in and pray, but with real estate I feel like even in the worst case (except for large scale global real estate market collapse) that I can go into my property, do some hard work and at least be able to get out of it for what I have in it.
