Car Dealerships do the same thing.They tell you they’ll apply the estimate bill into the work being done.I look at this as a sign of being ripped off sometimes but mostly it’s because they need to get paid for their time and if you have skin in the game you’ll likely go with whatever price they end up quoted because you don’t want to lose money/are all ready committed.Sometimes its worth paying that small price and learning and sometimes it’s a rip off situation.Best thing to do is find a reputable company.

I think that the SimpliSafe notice you’re referring to is fairly boilerplate.If you’re especially concerned about whether alarm registration is actually required in Cranston, I would recommend contacting the police department because they would absolutely know as they’d be the ones responding to any alarms, and it’s usually police departments that are the ones pushing for alarm requirements because they get irritated by false alarms.

Of course some of the questions are just good sense for someone moving in, but if you are white like me you figure out the vibe pretty quick about what's being asked, because a lot of racist individuals - and let's be honest here, most racists are not minorities themselves - believe that because you share their skin color you share their prejudices.
