Don't take personal finance and insurance at the same time, they overlap, same with psychology and sociology.Any of the 101 102 classes can be taken first, except as together as mentioned.You need statistics before managerial accounting, financial analysis  and entrepreneurship.Two more classes in accounting should give you an accounting degree, like tax accounting, governmental and non-profit accounting.Money and Banking is an elective for finance and a good insight to consumer and business banking.

But there is really not as much overlap than I would have thought.

On top of this if your half-azz decent you have; tens of thousands in annual legal fee's for annual contract reviews and refinements per what has come to pass in the year, compliance staff to keep on top of all the various compliance changes in every municipality of overlapping control (city, county, state, federal). 

Especially considering that there is likely at least some overlap in scope of work you planned vs. what just became a loss?

Just don't do it, or get rid of it and don't do it again.Mid-term planning overlaps with CDs/iBonds. 

Is there much overlap on costs?

So quick background, I'm a commercial GC, in the industry for about 10+ years now, so I understand the industry from a larger scale, not much overlap into small residential, but have been looking to get into RE investing to generate some long term wealth via the BRRRR method, get a little cashflow in the meantime, start relatively small, and scale right into a kush, early retirement.

I trusted a few people to do multiple jobs that semi overlapped and they pointed fingers when a mistake was made.

I'm sure the 2 have 90% overlap so I should be able to provide some insight there.

I'm sure there's some overlap with the real estate world.Sounds like you've got a good start with real estate investing too.
