To be a real estate investor neither is necessary or better than the other, accounting might get you some of the more obscure tax laws but in terms of spending 10s of thousands on a degree, focus it more on what you want to do for a day job, both are good options and most jobs will ask for a degree in finance or accounting so it really doesn't matter.
