I agree with @Jamie Banks that, while it takes time, its best to develop these relationships organically.

It sounds like this team wasn't doing that, and therefore they weren't organized enough to serve you well.

For instance, unless specifically called for in the Articles or Organization, LLCs are not required to have Boards of Directors, Officers, annual meetings, bylaws, resolutions etc.

Is a nonprofit representing the plaintiffs?

All the OOS marketing comapnies work for commissions  they are not doing this as a charity or non profit..
