@Johann JellsA self-locking door set is a door set just like a passage door set or {manually} locking door set, only the "outside" knob is always locked.A dead-latch looks like a dead bolt from the outside, on the inside it either has a strike akin to a door set; a receiver mechanism which allows the extended bolt to slid into place (a one-way latch) or an electronic mechanism.Powered deadbolts - one where the lock powers the bolt into place or retracts it - are problematic if you have a building which shifts with the seasons as they need to remain perfectly aligned to operate.

There is nothing specific in the ordinances addressing Airbnb/VRBO/short-term rentals.There is no law -- like there was in Denver prior to passage of their Airbnb law -- that prohibites rentals of any kind for less than 30 days.The planner we talked to said they're getting a lot of calls and she was not sure what the result would be if neighbors complained.Long-term, I think most every city that touches Denver will go the route of Denver.

In some zoning districts, skylights may be substituted for windows.Have two means of egress; whether egress is via window or a door, it must be operable from the inside without the use of keys, tools or special skills.Cannot serve as a passage to another room.Many brokers and leasing agents suggest that a bedroom must also include a closet if it’s to be considered “legal,” but the NYC building code does not include such a requirement."
