Steam heat systems are usually ok as the water has drained back to the basement boiler.

If it were steam it'd be more of an issue.

I don't know if this would work (research it b/c I'm just thinking off the top of my head here), but wouldn't a pro steam clean kill the eggs in the carpet?

One gentleman I know does it indoors daily, and I only know because I observe it, I can't smell a thing, perhaps because its steam, rather than combustion, based.

It could be several different things, including the boiler not being properly vented.Are we talking steam, hot water boiler?
