The framer with a rough carpenter attitude neglects to cull floor joists with an excessive crown or forgets to check crown on a few and you have speed bumps to drive over!

Next time I hire framers I will be going behind them and checking their work.

Hi All - How would you recommend asking subcontractors (framers, plumbers, etc.) to provide me their prices? 

Because of the large Edmonton prices, and possibly my jobs (from dishwasher (a few years ago) to house framer (now)), whatever the reason I have seeked elsewhere.

For instance- I have a mainly workers-- painters, flooring guys, roofers, framers etc that are unlicensed sub-contractor types.

Or a framer can suggest a painter.

Realtors and buyers who don't have an agency agreement in place, it will be hard to find motivated agents who are working towards their buyer's interest within a specific time frame. Real

@Sterling CoxIts a shame I wasn't closer, I am a steel stud framer by trade and I wold have loved to help you with that!

Also another major issue is with his framers.. they leave the job a mess.. they will go into the new lumber pile grab a nice two by four and cut off a foot of it.. instead of hunting around for a smaller piece they don't care.
