Before we arrived in England, there had been a slump in the local housing market, and when airmen got orders they were unable to sell their English properties. 

Hubby and I started buying when we were stationed in England as young airmen, and have now been doing houses for a number of years.

The area kind of reminds me of New England.

New England is beautiful, but it's not usually on the top of the list for hot real estate markets, especially for young investors.
