My business partner and I purchased a 4 plex property in Grand Rapids Michigan.  

@Maryann Fialdini likely the seller needs to be sued for that - owning a title company in MI i know that we will not pay if the data was not provided to us. 

In Michigan there is no redemption period if you purchase a property at tax sale.
