Also if you are wanting some sort of an island you could look at combining your first posted drawing with the most recent one, but the section you had the stove in the island in the first drawing do a half bar with seating on the back side and that top of the counter being higher than the kitchen side counter space.

I love Jon's solution above (I remember saying that when he first posted it as well, last year)...Carol says free-standing tubs are the big thing right now, so that's her vote...Btw, she also said that a built-in wet-bar/coffee station off the master bedroom or bathroom is also trendy these days...

They always included a number of rooms that met our state code, TAS. that dictates mounting heights, grab bars, egress, etc.I would bet that you'll need a public bathroom that meets ADA also.
