@Dev Horn, my husband's response to my endeavors is almost like this:..there were two buddies, Teban and Goliat, who took a vacation together and for the first time in their lives took a flight to get to their vacation destination. 

I've got to catch a flight now!

However, he came from a long flight from China, found out that he couldn't get to his own house.

In the Army we got "additional duties", I got stuck teaching close combat to Warrant Officer Canidates in flight school, the Army way, a combination of several arts and not a sport, but I was never in a formal school.

Eventually, down the road I want to get involved in commercial projects as well, and definitely plan to consider places that are couple of hrs from DC area by flight. 2 Hrs will get me as far as Chi-town to the west and Miami to south. 

I will be on the next flight  :) as this is what I do all over the country.. this is just one of 12 markets we work like this.Its fun its profitable and its a natural progression after 40 years of slogging it out in all sorts of different RE models and schemes. 

Sure it's a couple hundred bucks in flights/hotel, but that's nothing when you're looking to save hundreds of thousands by investing in a less expensive market.
