In general, the older homes (60's 70's 80's vintage) near water and at lower elevations were flooded during Hurricane Ian.

Ian, I had a tenant break a lease and cause extensive damage to a condo in VA Beach a couple years ago.

For low income individuals, there are already many programs in place that provide this, snap, section 8, social security, and others. for someone like you or I, an extra $1k/mo might be a nice bonus, assuming you don't lose that an more in taxes later.
