Keep in mind that even though engineered floors are assembled they are still real wood and will take on moisture, this is also true for laminates.

The glossier it is, the more it repels stains and moisture.

Hi Ingrid, yes we did look up similar homes in the area and yes they do have pantries, we just weren't sure if it would increase the value to the property, but we updated the kitchen with granite counter tops and have painted the cabniets we invested in the kitchen close to $3k, only because the cabniets are in very good condition I just painted the cabniets and the kitchen walls and hired a pro for the granite $1500 for the slab and intallation, and we got gently used stainless steel appliances.

Moisture resistance Both of the products are strong moisture resistant.

I don't think you are getting "bashed" I think you are being gently nutured by your elders.

The house is pier and beam and there have been some moisture issues in the crawl space before.

You might find some other finished basement buyers.The issue is the moisture in the finished basement which caused the mold is what would concern me more.
