I've been told that the 2012 - 2016 lien is with the Mayor's office and City Council and that I could purchase the lien from them.

Being a condo, access to gas is going to be tough, so I would probably tear it out completely and install a electric linear fireplace instead if I decide it's going to hinder the sale.The strata council is very proactive and takes good care of the building.

@John WoodrichHi John,  The first step is the Met Council has to approve/ratify the 2040 Comp plan MPLS approved in December. 

Typically the planning board makes a recommendation to the city council.  

But very few investors are in the #1 performing sector over the last 1, 3, 5 and 10 year periods, according to the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF): senior housing.  

Again, I really questioned the motive behind all of this and that's why I sought additional council, ultimately going elsewhere.

Their Council is very agressive .
