Welcome ... as a fellow engineer, I can say that you will have many advantages and a few disadvantages.Possible Advantages:You will have the analytical abilities to run the numbers and understand themYou will have attention to detail to execute effectively and efficientlyYou will be good at "systematizing" things to automate them and maintain a high level of quality and consistency in your processYou have intellectual curiosity to try to figure stuff out and know at a deep level how it worksYou may be mechanically inclined and able to understand and debug systems in a property (HVAC, structural, electrical, plumbing, etc.)You will be conservative and understand "margin of safety".

You are looking for someone who can give you analytic reports as well.If you build a process, write it down and pass it on to someone who can follow the instructions to the T.And then double check and deep dive into reporting.

Last year we had 1,146 leads come in to my office. 60% came from direct mail. 40% came through my carrot site however according to Google Tag Manager/analytics more than half of those came from Direct Mail with our brand printed on it.

If you and your spouse-to-be are both analytical, number crunching people then sure there is no problem.

Great post @Ross Denman It's nice to know that some companies are performing quantitative and qualitative analytics ensuring delivery of quality products and services.

I've developed a strong analytical and interpersonal skill set, as well as a solid work ethic.

Be analytical and emotionally flat. 

I work in logistics and study chemistry, so I've got a good amount of analytical power in my brain, just never quite applied it in this way.

Have confidence in your analytical ability, and realize that a base hit or a double is how you win the long term game, they won't all be home runs,  and that's okay!
