@Tri Nguyen Welcome.I believe the life span of RE Investors is probably longer than that of your former occupation.You got a trust issue, so I'd bury that occupation and any reference to it in the backyard, IMHO.You can become any one of the 20 occupations (or become all of them at once) that potentially make a deal but those are only ancillary jobs.

For example; if the roof needs to be replaced in 5 years your cap ex % would be higher than if the roof was new and had a 20-25 year life span.

For example, if your roof is $30k and it has a 30 year life span, you're looking at about $75/month dedicated towards a new roof some day.

I am contemplating selling it and trading into a new place closer to where I live to shrink up my span of control.
