However, this generic statement is useless for many reasons:- your two years are never identical- even if you expect them to be identical, we don't know the future, and things can change- you likely have a number of special factors that change your tax outcome, some of which I mentioned above and others mentioned in earlier comments on this threadWe are also assuming that you're selling outright for cash and not reinvesting, although you have other options such as installment sales (aka owner financing), reinvesting into REITs/DSTs, opportunity zone funds and more, as mentioned in other comments.Finally, nobody brought up what I consider the single most important factor in your decision process: you sell when you have a good offer, period.

I think the one thing that Airbnb doesn't mention much that is taking away from their business is the spike in direct booking platforms for the top performing hosts and competition from VRBO /Booking.com/Other Niche OTAs.

The properties bought strictly for appreciation ended up having not only much better overall returns thanks mostly to life-changing appreciation, but after a few years of strong rent growth due to being in good locations, not to mention less tenant issues and repair/capex issues, they actually spin off better cash flow than the properties bought for that purpose anyway.

But option A seems dangerous to property as it seems shifts the ground damaging the foundation and building as mentioned like below>>Designed to prevent the ground from shifting.From the nearest wall of the building this retention wall is at about 15 feet away.At one point i thought of putting some gravel for better water passage but dropped that idea as it cost money and becomes more harder to maintain by tenant or me in futurePlease advise
