They are beautifully ornate with lots of trim and a decorative header.

@Rachel Gill We have a thing for older properties as well ... which is a good thing as our area is filled with Queen Anne, Second Empire, Victorian, Georgian, & Edwardian era buildings.It is possible to renovate these old buildings, making them moderately energy efficient (as good as a modern minimum code built home) and still maintain some of the period decor.  

Add shutters, a nice color on shutters and door, maybe some large decorative home numbers, and maybe a pot or two of colorful flowers by the door that tenant can change out seasonally if they want to, trim existing shrubs and mulch any existing beds.  

Two identical units in the same building can gross different amount based on decor, marketing and how well the manager (you or another person) answers the guests and makes them feel special.

Lastly, don't forget decor for walls and tables so that the home doesn't look too sterile.If you are looking for a full list, I would Google it.

I've noticed many rehab pictures that replace the huge wall mirror with decorative framed mirrors.

Frame it in, dry it in and do a decorative item that will make it look like it is supposed to be there.
