A bit of backstory: we had a small-ish earthquake here in SLC back in 2020.  ...a few months before that earthquake, a family in my neighborhood bought a STUNNING late 1800s brick home.

Another example, in the western NC mountains near where I live, most people gravitate towards investing in over-saturated well known vacation areas with lots of amenities, however, there are other stunning areas in the mountains with very low prices (comparatively) that have very high occupancy because hardly anybody has an STR in available in the area.

I think to have year round you have to solve the AC issue - maybe solar and more of a yurt type of thing or even a geo dome etc. more rigid structure etc.]Pahrump is far enough away for it to feel like a vacation, but close enough so they can get home in an emergency.2) Just because you are incapable of succeeding with something like this doesn't mean I am.

After looking through the property it is absolutely stunning and I believe people do not see the potential in it as they only see the Bed and Breakfast aspect.

I have found that some of these investment strategies work better for others than they do me, so figure out which one suits you best.
